Fresh Crabs and Prawns are usually left to rest in a sweet briny marinate for 3-4 days before serving, Mirin in the marinate kills any bacteria so no cooking is required!
To eat, simply mix the rice with the brine and have the seafood along. Koreans usually enjoy Soy Marinated Seafood with Kimchi and seasoned seaweed sheets~
